If you want to grind, go play WoW or EQ2.

Heres an idea: If you want to know what level you would be if there was no cap then do the math.
Level = (exp + 162,400) / 15,000. (according to guildwiki)
Level 100 is 1,337,600
Level 200 is 2,837,600
Level 300 is 4,337,600
Level 400 is 5,837,600
Level X is (X * 15,000) - 162,400.

We have a Faction title for Faction grind, we have a Gladiator title for TAing, Fame title for HAing, Champion title for GvGing...
I never see "Forming UW group, must be Protector of Tyria", "Forming AB group, must have 1 million Kurzick Faction", "Forming the deep group, must have Protector of Cantha". Why are we all immediately jumping to the conclusion that PuGing will become complete chaos if they introduce an exp title when there are already other methods out there that could be used as a measure of "PvE skill"?

No real reason. I blame Heroes' Ascent for this situation.

This was suggested and people whined and griped about it. Even though it's what the game needs and the lack of it is killing the game.

I just had to do it.
I agree with the motion to elliminate the cap in terms of what's written by your character's name. It is rather pointless to me that we can still continue to gain skill points after level 20 but display them proudly. Every time you gain a skill point after level 20 you should get an extra 'level'. Nothing that really affects the game, as has been clarified, just something that shows your commitment to a character (or to a farming ground).

Well, that 1337 thing was also in the amount of experience needed for the Legendary Survivor title.
Just in case you didn't know

Why would we want to attract MMORPG players to a CORPG game?
Guild Wars ≠ World of Warcraft

no
it is actually that in real life they are losers whose high point of their week is gaining another level just to prove how superior they are.
refer to the the panic insecurity syndrome known as *OMG I AM SURROUNDED BY EQUALS WITHOUT A HIGHER NUMBER TO PROVE HOW MUCH BETTER I AM*

Haha, great and you?
I just flat out cold-turkey quit GW because it sucks so badly now. It's been nerfed over and over and over. No fun there. The level caps still suck. I've been playing classic console RPGs (Final Fantasy series, Lufia 2, etc) and they just totally blow GW out of the water.

What is CORPG and i had the idea that MMORPG stands for massivly multiplayer online role playing game so
1...we have a massive amout of ppl
2...u need the internet to play
3...u can play as a girl i.e role playing
4...its a game
and skill is not tied into how much u farm all u need is to look into the farming section of these forums get the build and go do it...not much skill there other than the fact that you can read

Hehe, I've quit Guild Wars too. I'm just here in the forums offering my opinion, backing up arguments and what not.
Just yesterday, Blizzard went on a banning spree on Diablo and my cd-key was done because of use of maphack. Strange how my friend who bots, maphacks, dupes, ebays, and scams managed to keep himself going on his original cd-key.
There is no justice, is there?

Theres no reason why you need to be a high level to access anything. Thats what makes GW different from some other games. Also, having to be a higher level to access somewhere already sorta applies. Chances are if your level 13
your not gonna get a group for hells, you'll have to be a higher level, like level 20.
Also, this could ruin the game. Since some people think more exp=better player, you'll start seeing
"GLF Level 50+" etc. I dont think we need this.
So, basically /notsigned.

Speaking of titles, that would be an easy way to implement this idea. Just have an experience title. Would they actually show skill? Maybe not, but it wouldn't be any worse than the titles for opening lots of chests, IDing lots of rare items, and standing in circles for hours.

1) Every bot/farmer would have this title
2) For every title you have to somewhat go out of your way. You get exp from killing monsters, doing quests, mission, capping skills, etc. So it would be too easy of a title to get

We already have some titles that don't require you to go out of your way. I've gotten exploration titles by doing nothing but just going through the game normally, and given enough time anyone who Identifies rare items will get a title.
If you are concerned about it being too easy, I suppose you could make the experience req. high, or just make a large ladder of experience progression. As for point 1, what you say is true but it doesn't convince me that the idea is bad. Farmers aren't doing anything wrong, so why shouldn't they be able to have a title? As for Bots...they will have it, but so what? It really doesn't hurt anyone. Hopefully they will be banned at some point and then they won't be able to show it off anymore
Its not like I'm personally craving the ability to show off experience points, but I've heard this idea before from many people. If it will make some people happy, then why not do it?
